The Lab publishes structured, reproducible tests of AI companion platforms. Every test is run against our published methodology with the same protocol for every platform. Status is always visible — we do not present a Planned test as if it has already produced results.

Join the tester panel
Some Lab tests run faster with more hands. We keep a small panel of testers who trial platforms and send structured feedback against the same protocol we use ourselves — the memory test, the image consistency benchmark, and the voice and video tests as they open.
What it involves: roughly one to two hours per round, done in a browser or on your phone, with findings written into a short template we supply. You keep your own accounts and we never ask for your login details.
Who can apply: anyone 18 or over who is comfortable with adult-oriented AI chat apps. No prior testing experience is needed.
What you get: credit in the published test results if you want it. This is unpaid, and any free access is only offered where a platform provides codes for that round.
To apply: email contact@aicompanionslabs.com with the subject “Tester panel application”, and tell us which platforms you have used, what devices you test on, and roughly how much time you can give each round. We reply to everyone, and we only get in touch when a round actually opens.
What we don't do
We do not fabricate scores, invent screenshots, or claim to have tested a feature we haven't. When a test is Planned or in Testing, it says exactly that — with no numbers attached. When a test is Published, every score is traceable to real test runs against the methodology.
